The largest payors of home health care services, Medicare provides health care coverage for persons age 65 and older, persons who are defined for social security purposes as "disabled" for at least two years, and certain other special cases.
Medicaid is a state government program that provides health care insurance and medical assistance to people, including families and children, who meet income eligibility requirements.
Veterans benefits includes variety of services including long term care, home or community based care, etc. Your eligibility for these services will be determined based on your need for ongoing treatment, personal care, and assistance, etc. Other factors, such as financial eligibility, your service-connected (VA disability) status, insurance coverage, and/or ability to pay may also apply.
An employee or their dependents can receive workers' compensation benefits for an injury in the course of employment. The employer or their insurance carrier pays for necessary and reasonable medical treatment or rehabilitation and when documented, benefits for permanent disability and in the event that a worker is injured while working. For an uninsured employer, application for medical and temporary benefits can also be made.
This Medicare program gives you more choices among health plans and extends benefits beyond the Original Medicare Plan. Nearly everyone with Medicare Parts A and B is eligible for a Medicare Advantage plan. Medicare Advantage plans previously were called Medicare+Choice plans.

This type of insurance covers the cost of care beyond a predetermined period of time. Long-term care insurance covers care generally not covered by your primary insurance plan. Unlike traditional health insurance, long-term care insurance is designed to cover long-term services that include skilled, assistive or personal care services in a variety of settings such as home, a community organization, or other facility.
The marketplace is for individuals without health coverage through work or state programs and allows you to compare health insurance options that meet your needs and fit your budget. There are various options to get health coverage. You can enroll in private coverage through the Marketplace only if you have a qualifying life event or a complex situation related to applying in the Marketplace.
